“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much, and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.”
Luke 16:10

Little things, in much

It’s easy to work hard on things that people look at, but slack off on things that people do not see. God sees everything, even the things we do(or don’t do) in secret. When we are not faithful with the “small” things, we also tend to be not faithful with “big” things.

Unrighteous wealth, true wealth

The parable of the “unjust(or shrewd) manager” appears just before this passage in verses 1 – 9. Verse 11 talks of “unrighteous wealth” and “true wealth”. Putting these together, we see that the “small” things refers to “money”. For God, money is not a “big(important)” thing. There are bigger, more important things for God. We need to be faithful with the “small things(money)” to gain more important wealth!
